The signing of Edouard Mendy might be the last deal before the end of the transfer window for the Blues.
But the report has confirmed that Chelsea still wants to complete the signing of Declan Rice from West Ham United.
The former Chelsea Academy player is being valued at £80 million by the Hammers and the Blues are eager to complete a move.
Frank Lampard have seen his squad improved with new signings which first saw Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner signed.
Next on, Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva both joined Chelsea as free agents from Nice and Paris Saint-Germain.
While Kai Havertz recently joined for a reported £72 million from Bayer Leverkusen fee weeks ago.
Edouard Mendy looks likely to follow next as a deal is 100% agreed.
