It is Official for Chelsea as Kai Havertz is officially a Blue after completing a £72 million move plus add-ons from Bayer Leverkusen today.
The Blues have officially made the announcement of Kai Havertz who joined on a five year deal until 2025.
The move was completed a few minutes ago after his arrival from Germany’s national team training camp.
It was reported that he did his medical on Sunday before heading to represent his national team in the Uefa Nations League.
The move to Chelsea should have been done earlier but it was stalled due to Bayer Leverkusen’s demands.
So was reported that he was suppose to have joined before the end of the League season but the move took long.
His club wanted to make a final decision after their Europa League campaign which they crashed 2-1 against Inter Milan.
The Blues have been busy in the market as they recently completed a £50 million deal with Leicester City for Ben Chilwell.
While Havertz fellow German teammate Timo Werner joined Chelsea from RB Leipzig alongside Hakim Ziyech from Ajax.
They also made the signing of two free in Malang Sarr and Thiago Silva who both joined.
They both joined from Nice and Paris Saint-Germain after seeing off their contracts respectively.
