Chelsea has once again lost out on their pursuit of former Academy graduate Nathan Ake who recently signed a five year deal with Man City.
Nathan Ake makes it the second signing for Pep Guardiola’s Man City in the transfer window after signing Ferran Torres.
The deal is worth £40m and it they agree a five deal which will see Ake stay at the Etihad Stadium until 2025.
Chelsea were tipped favourite to land their former defender but Is now over as he completed his move to Man City.
The Blues will have to search for another defender elsewhere after losing out on Ake to City.
Frank Lampard have other options to go for when it comes to fixing his defensive issues.
Napoli Koulibaly is also another defender waiting for Chelsea to go after as they also chase after a left back.
A deal for Real Madrid Sergio Reguilon is also in advance stage as they look to seal £22m deal for the left back.
