The match kicked off with the blues taking control of play passing the ball around and gaining possession which didn’t take long before the first opportunity came for the away side as Mason Mount strike was blocked by The Brighton defender.
Six minutes of the play The home side Brighton hit Chelsea on an attack which saw the lovely exchange of pass from them but unfortunately, Steven Alzate wasn’t good enough to result in a goal.
The match went on with Chelsea getting most of the chances to score but it wasn’t going in anytime soon as the scoreline remains 0-0.
Ten minutes of play the away side Chelsea opened the goal-scoring which was perfectly orchestrated from a corner which was kept in by Zouma before a slight tough from Tammy Abraham which saw Azpilicueta smashed it in to make it 0-1.
The game opened up after the goal went in which saw the home team managing to break down the Chelsea defense but Leandro Trossard striker went wide.
Chances upon chances came begging for both teams but no one was able to hit the target as Chelsea boss most of the duration of the first half before Stuart Attwell blows for halftime.
The second half was a totally different ball game as the home team pushed back for a little bit which saw the ball possession shift slightly but it wasn’t to give them the equalizer as Chelsea’s defense tightened up.
Chelsea drives upfield and Christian Pulisic gets in a shot and there strike is blocked by a Brighton & Hove Albion defender.
Tammy Abraham and Hudson Odoi both missed golden opportunities to increase Chelsea lead on Different occasion but their poor finishing made them misplaced the chances.
Alireza Jahanbakhsh levels the scoreline 84 minutes after some error by the Chelsea defenders saw the player left with an opening which he converts to make it 1-1.
The match which already saw the referee awarded three yellow cards which were shared amongst both teams with Kurt Zouma, Dunk and Kovacic all going into the referee’s book.
With 90 minutes gone already, Chelsea was unable to take the lead once again as it was too late for them to do anything about the scoreline.
The game went on to finish 1-1 as Chelsea end another game with disappointment going home with just one point.
