Liverpool eased past Brighton & Hove Albion in a 3-1 scoreline which saw Mohamed Salah scored twice alongside Henderson one goal.
Liverpool controlled most of the first 45 minutes as three goals were recorded with both teams on target.
It took 6 minutes for Mohamed Salah to get the first goal of the game thanks to assistance from Naby Keita.
Jordan Henderson made it 2-0 with just after two minutes to the first goal with an assist from Salah.
It looked as if the game is already wrapped by the away side but Brighton & Hove Albion continued chasing the game.
The home side almost got one goal back but the effort was wasted as Liverpool defended well.
Soon Brighton & Hove Albion pull one back from Trossard after a nice pass from Tariq Lamptey which saw the scoreline turned 1-2.
The first half of the encounter ended with Jurgen Klopp’s side the better of both teams.
The second half proved to be more intense as both teams gave a good account of themselves on the pitch of play.
Liverpool and Brighton & Hove Albion created many goal scoring chances but the finishing wasn’t good enough.
Henderson could have made it 3-1 but his strike wasn’t good enough to beat the goalkeeper.
Mohamed Salah made it three in the 76th minute for Liverpool as he struck from Andrew Robertson’s lovely assist.
