Thomas Tuchel recorded a draw in his first game as Chelsea played out a goalless draw against Wolves in the English Premier League game which went on yesterday night after being announced as the new manager of the club following Frank Lampard sacking.
First Half Report Chelsea 0-0 Wolves
The first half was brilliant from both side who had their fair share of chances on goal as the Blues dominated the entire first 45 minutes which saw them claiming huge amount of the ball possession while they looked sharp but couldn’t finish off in front of goal.
Wolves were less of a threat going forward as they were mostly pressured in the 45 minutes which saw them taking care of their defense well which the home side couldn’t break them down despite their attempts on goal which was more.
Chelsea were frustrated in the game as Olivier Giroud couldn’t get more chance to navigate well and produced something good which was what was needed to compliment their good display for the night with their new manager in charge of the team.
The first half of the encounter ended with Chelsea 0-0 Wolves as they both headed for the break in a goalless draw which the Blues were the better between the two sides who couldn’t produced any moment of brilliance.
Second Half Report Chelsea 0-0 Wolves
The second half was more of the same as no one was able to make anything happen yet again despite the amount of chances created in the second 45 minutes which was another entertaining period despite the lack of goals.
Chelsea continued with their dominance which saw Kai Havertz showing the quality that was missing for a very long time since making his move to Stamford Bridge from Bayer Leverkusen earlier before the kick off this season which he has failed to impress.
Wolves held on their ground as they didn’t let anything go past them despite the amount of pressure they soaked in the second half of the game away from home which they also produced some opportunities which almost resulting to a goal which was cleared by the Blues.
The match ended with Chelsea 0-0 Wolves as both sides shared the points each with Thomas Tuchel settling for a draw as the new boss in charge of the team he inherit from Frank Lampard who was sacked on Monday after some poor run of results.
