Penalty goal from Jorginho helped Chelsea played out a 1-1 draw against Krasnodar in the last group stage game in the UEFA Champions League which went down tonight at Stamford Bridge.
First Half Report Chelsea 1-1 Krasnodar:
The first half was evenly matched as both sides found the back of the net once each but It was the Blues who dominated play the most and had more chances going forward.
Krasnodar opened the scoring in the 24th minute after breaking down the home team defense before Remy Cabella put the ball past Kepa Arrizabalaga to make it 1-0.
Chelsea pulled back level in the 28th minute after applying pressure on the away side which led to a penalty being awarded before Jorginho stepped up and convert to make it 1-1.
The first half ended with a 1-1 scoreline as they both headed for the break with the draw after an entertaining first 45 minutes encounter between them.
Second Half Report Chelsea 0-0 Krasnodar:
The second half failed to live up to expectations as no goal was recorded despite the amount of chances created by both sides in the game.
Chelsea did have some good chances but Tammy Abraham wasted them as he couldn’t connect well to make the ball hit the back of the net despite coming close more than once.
Krasnodar on the other hand had quite some game as they weren’t slowing down in their attempts to get something out of the encounter which saw them played better.
The match finally ended with a 1-1 final score which saw both teams sharing the points after a very hard fought game with the away side making Europa League next round after finishing with 5 points.
