A brace for Pernille Harder and one from Fran Kirby ensured Chelsea women beat Arsenal 3-0 in the Barclay’s FA WSL London Derby game which took place tonight as the Blues remain top of the League table.
First Half Report Chelsea 0-0 Arsenal Women
The first half was poor as both sides couldn’t make anything happen as they struggled throughout with couple of opportunities which they couldn’t finish off.
Arsenal were the less threatening side who had so much work to do as the home side saw more of the ball which was a huge problems for the Gunners who had to tighten their defense.
Chelsea dominated the half but also could have conceded if they weren’t solid at the back as the away side did created some goalmouth chances which was dealt with easily.
The first half ended 0-0 as they both headed for the break without anyone scoring despite the numerous amount of chances created in the game.
Second Half Report Chelsea 3-0 Arsenal Women
The second half was much different with goals going in as the home side ripped their opponent apart within 45 minutes which three goals was recorded by the Blues.
Pernille Harder gave Chelsea the opener in the 48th minute after scoring an outstanding goal which came after a good buildup play before Kirby set up the goal to make it 1-0.
Arsenal failed to control things as the second goal following in the 58th minute once again from Harder who recorded his brace to make the scoreline increased to a 2-0.
Fran Kirby completed the rioting of the Gunners as she grabbed a late one which saw the match ended with 3-0 in favor of the Blues who claimed another London derby victory.
