Guro Reiten alongside Sam Kerr and Drew Spence scored as Chelsea Women made light work of Everton in the Vitality FA Cup by beating them 3-0 to qualify for quarter final stages.
First Half Report Chelsea 1-0 Everton Women
Coming from their Champions League humiliation in the hands of Barcelona, the Blues Ladies ensured things were fine in the first half of the encounter which they dominated and scored.
Everton had things under control in the early minutes as they were able to deal with all the attacks are thrown at them by their opponent who was exceptional going forward.
The goal finally came for Chelsea Women in 28th minutes after Sam Kerr squared through the ball to Guro Reiten who finished off from close range to make the scoreline 1-0 for the London side who took the lead.
More opportunities followed up with the home team making sure they spare nothing for their opponent who looked controlled and couldn’t stop them from going free.
The first half finally came to an end with Chelsea 1-0 Everton, which saw them heading into the break with an advantage over to the home side after an emphatic 45 minutes of good football.
Second Half Report Chelsea 2-0 Everton Women
The second half started good for the WSL winners who were still in total control of the encounter as they continued pushing forward for another goal.
Chelsea Women were dominant all through as they continue causing so much troubles for the defenders who couldn’t get a grip on what’s going on, but they did manage to clear out the threats.
Everton did good until the 77th minutes when Sam Kerr was set loosed and she found herself a space from 20 yards which she smashed it in beating the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
The game went on further as Drew Spence scored the third with a header in the 86th minute after Samantha Kerr chips the ball to the far side before the defender finish off to make it 3-0.
The encounter came to a close with Chelsea 3-0 Everton, which sees the London side advancing to the quarter final stages of the Vitality Women FA Cup competition.
