It is believed that Chelsea and Thiago Silva have agreed to a contract extension which will be fully completed and signed in the coming days with the Blues desperate to keep the defender.
The Brazilian Legend has been out nursing an injury which have left him out for a number of games and it looks like he will be making his comeback soon after the International break.
Thiago Silva will sign a new Chelsea deal in the coming days as sources have already revealed that an agreement is already on the table waiting to be signed and made official.
The Blues player has been active despite not playing, as he was seen celebrating and cheering the team while they beat Atletico Madrid 2-0 and also he was seen in the game against Sheffield United which finished 2-0.
Thiago Silva is ready to agree an extension to his contract at Chelsea which will see him extend for another year with few months left in his current deal, according to reports from Express Sport.
The experienced Brazilian defender joined the Blues on an initial one-year deal but is set to prolong his stay at Stamford Bridge by a further 12 months which will see him spend another season.
It was reported that he is also being considered to get a coaching job if he retires at the club with age not on his side after making that free move from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer transfer window.
Thiago Silva has been influential for the team since making that move as he was a key player during Frank Lampard era and since Thomas Tuchel took over he has been injured and not getting game time.
With him set to make a comeback that might change but he won’t be a regular with the kind of form Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen has put up so far with Chelsea going 14 games unbeaten and 10 wins.
