The 26 year old has reportedly been on their radar since 2016, and they were publicly linked with him last summer but unfortunately the deal wasn’t done due as they opted to go after Thiago Silva who was a free agent.

Chelsea plan to offer defender Andreas Christensen a new contract, according to reports coming from The Telegraph as the Blues are set to make the defender their priority after his new found form.
The 24-year-old has earned his way into Thomas Tuchel’s outfit and has started in recent league wins against Everton, Liverpool and Newcastle which he has been solid and gave a good performance.
Chelsea will be doing everything possible to keep him despite them being linked with moves for another center back which already have the likes of Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Kurt Zouma who are all good so far this season.
