UPAMECANO LATEST UPDATE:
RB Leipzig star could leave in summer for €40m if a deal can be reached between any club who is desperate to land him after the defender has show quality from last season which saw his team performed very as they are up till this season.
Chelsea might be lucky to sign the defender but Bayern Munich are still the favourites to land Dayot Upamecano from RB Leipzig, according to reports reaching us from from TZ.
Chelsea are the latest team to show interest in the centre-back with the Blues looking for Thiago Silva replacement after he leaves or retire from football, but Bayern are still leading the race to complete the move this January.
Upamecano is contracted to Leipzig until 2023 but he has a clause that will allow him to leave in the summer for €40 million (£36m/$49m) which isn’t too much on a high from his previous clause.
Man United on their other hand don’t look likely to make the move as they won’t be going into the transfer market for new players which clearly puts them out of the race for now until further announcement.
The race is now between Chelsea and Bayern Munich as we awaits who will act fast and complete the move this January or ahead of next season whichis very possible.
AC MILAN WANTS FIKAYO TOMORI:
AC Milan are currently showing interest in helping the defender get back on his feet as they want a move for the player who was impressive last season while making his breakthrough to the first team and also making his international debut.
AC Milan have set their sights on Chelsea Fikayo Tomori and the deal looks likely to be completed with the player eager to make a move elsewhere to get playing time, according to reports from Sky Sports.
The Italian side has contacted Chelsea over a potential move, and Tomori himself is open to the idea If a move which is 60 percent possible to happen if an agreement is reach between both sides.
However, Strasbourg’s Mohamed Simakan is Milan’s primary target who is also on the Blues radar in recent weeks, Tomori being the backup plan should a deal collapse for the Ligue one player.
Chelsea won’t be looking to sell the defender after Frank Lampard have come out to confirm he is still part of his plans going forward after the arrival of Thiago Silva from Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer.
No official statement have been made by both teams concerning the move as we await to see the outcome if it will be a loan move or outright permanent deal which will come as no shock.
