#CoronaVirus: 39,000 People In Lagos Are At High Risk Of Getting Infected By COVID-19

According to new report following the Covid-19 pandemic has suggested that 39,000 people living in Lagos is at high risk of getting infected by the virus.

As the Coronavirus epidemic continues fo spread, Lagos State Commissioner for Health, Prof. Akin Abayomi has disclosed that the state’s instances would possibly amplify to 39,000 in coming weeks if stringent measures are not put in vicinity to stop the unfold of the disease.

Speaking at a press convention on Friday March 27, Abayomi mentioned that they are nonetheless tracing about 3,000 primary contacts of those contaminated with the disease.

The Commissioner who disclosed that the mathematical projection was that the state could have up to 39,000 cases, stated it may become a reality if contacts are not observing self-isolating or embracing social distancing.

He added that with social distancing, the figure could be confined to 13,000 cases. Abayomi said;
