Chelsea might be forced to pull out of the chase for Bayern Munich defender David Alaba after he has refused to lower his wage demand which is currently at £20 million and it is a big problem.
The Blues will be looking at other options if the situation refuses to change with the defender which will become a free agent after the end of the 2020/2021 season.
David Alaba £20 million wage demand might see Chelsea pull out of the race to sign the Bayern Munich defender who can be bought for free during the summer window.
Real Madrid still in contention to sign Bayern Munich star so as the Blues but the only issue seems to be the wage being demanded by the player and his representative.
Chelsea will have to give up hope of signing David Alaba this summer unless he lowers his wage demands which is bigger than any player on their squad and will be an issue to pay.
According to reports by The Telegraph says the Austria international is demanding £20 million ($27m) a year from his next club and the Blues might be forced to drop their interest on the player.
Alaba will leave Bayern Munich for free at the end of the season and Real Madrid have also been linked with him and they probably might be the side who get to land the player.
Chelsea recently completed a deal which will see Jerome Boating move to Stamford Bridge next season after an agreement was reached with Bayern Munich and the player’s agent.
