Borussia Dortmund star Erling Haaland is set to turn down an offer from Chelsea as the Norwegian is only interested in a bigger club and the Blues isn’t one of them for him according to latest reports making headlines.
The Borussia Dortmund star could be on the move this summer, and every top side in Europe has been linked with his signature with the likes of Manchester United, City, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain all waiting for the transfer window to open.
Erling Haaland agent’s Mino Raiola, recently revealed only ten clubs will be able to afford him, with the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and both Manchester clubs thought to be among the favorites to land the prolific striker when the transfer window opens again.
However, according to respected German publication BILD, the Norwegian is only considering six clubs as opposed to ten and Chelsea are not one of them those club he is considering to join if he get to leave Borussia Dortmund in the summer.
Roman Abramovich already gave Thomas Tuchel the greenlight to bring in Erling Haaland but it looks like the deal won’t be happening after all as the Norwegian is not interested in making a move to Stamford Bridge if the opportunity comes.
The news comes as a boost for Clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United who might now have the upper hand to sign the player as Dortmund are expected to demand as much as £150m this summer.
Erling Haaland whose £65m release clause does not become active until June 2022 and it is still unknown if with the Coronavirus pandemic that has caused financial crisis for clubs like Real Madrid and Manchester United, if those club can afford him.
