Kai Havertz Vs Everton – I’m Impressed Says Tuchel (WATCH VIDEO)


Thomas Tuchel was full of praises and admiration for Kai Havertz who started his first game after a long while and he was instrumental in Chelsea beating Everton 2-0 last night.

The German International scored the first goal which was later given as an own goal, he also caused the penalty which Jorginho scored after scoring early but it was ruled out by VAR.

Kai Havertz one man performance destroyed Everton last night as Chelsea beat them 2-0 to cement their place in the top four with three points behind third place Leicester City while the Toffees moved down.

The attacking midfielder has struggled in the Premier League since his £72million transfer last summer from Bayer Leverkusen, he also had fitness issues after being infected with CoronaVirus.

But coming back to the starting lineup last night saw him showed the reason why Chelsea bought him from Bayer Leverkusen after an outstanding man of the match display gave the Blues three points.

Meanwhile, Thomas Tuchel was full of praises as he encourages him to do more in the coming games if he wants to earn regular playing more playing time for the new boss in charge.

He told BT Sport: “Very impressed with Kai. We gave him our trust and he performed very well. “He has all the ability to be a dominant player in attack and he has now stepped up.”

The win saw Chelsea moving into fourth place and reduced the points between them and Leicester City to just three points while West Ham United win saw them top Everton.

“We deserved the win,” Tuchel added.

“It was a tough first half but we did everything very well. In the second half we increased our tempo with more dangerous attacks.

Chelsea next game will be against Leeds United in the weekend before they host Atletico Madrid at home in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16.
