It was a disappointing outing for Thomas Tuchel as Chelsea couldn’t get a goal against Leeds United away from home as they played out a goalless draw 0-0 which was very poor from them in the encounter.
First Half Report Leeds United 0-0 Chelsea
The first half of the encounter was very poor for the Blues who couldn’t make it count despite them seeing much of the ball against their opponent who was also vigilant defending and going forward too.
Leeds United wasn’t the less side as everything the away side threw at them they soaked in well and also send back their reply as they scored a goal which wasn’t counted due to Bamford offside position before the pass.
Chelsea dominated play as the game progressed but they were just poor to score a goal which saw Kai Havertz getting close after a nice pass from Pulisic which the German failed to utilize and gave his side the lead.
The first half of the encounter finally came to an end with 0-0 as they both headed for the break without a goal from both sides who were perfect in making sure they cleared out every threats thrown at them.
Second Half Report Leeds United 0-0 Chelsea
It wasn’t a good second half encounter either as nothing yet was seen from both side who created chances that they couldn’t make count with more going the way of the away side who were favourite to land the win.
Chelsea were very poor in every aspect that involves them going forward as they opportunities kept coming but converted looked very hard which couldn’t have been the formation of Kai Havertz playing a false 9 that didn’t work this time.
Leeds United showed much quality as they didn’t just sit back to defend which many would have thought they will result to, but the newly promoted side showed they intent on also getting all three points which they pushed harder too.
The game progressed without anything coming from both sides who continued to create more opportunities as the game carried on into the last few minutes which they both did much to score but failed on all attempts.
It finally came to an end with 0-0 as they ended the encounter without a goal from both sides which was poor and a disappointing result for Thomas Tuchel’s side that needed the win to close the gap on Leicester City who are third on the table.
