Timo Werner goal was ruled but Mason Mount made sure his own goal wasn’t chopped off as he ensured Chelsea beat Liverpool 1-0 at Anfield to move the Blues into number 4 on the Premier League table.

It was a very entertaining first half encounter between the two sides who created chances but it was all about the Blues who dominated play as the Reds couldn’t get one goal on target despite their ball possession.

Liverpool was caught napping as a through ball saw thrown in to Timo Werner who beat Alisson Becker neatly to score but it was later ruled out for offside by VAR after it was checked that the German International hand was off.

Chelsea finally got the goal which stands after NGolo Kante delivered an amazing pass which Mason Mount control and smashed in the make it 1-0 in the 42nd minute of the game after throwing so much pressure on the Reds which finally paid off.

The first half of the encounter finally ended with 0-1 as they both headed for the 45 minutes break with advantage going to Thomas Tuchel side who were the better of both sides.

Second Half Report Liverpool 0-0 Chelsea

It was another hard fought second half of the game which in the early stages we saw the Blues pulling all the strings by creating opportunities and getting some strike which was able to hit the target but not going in.

Chelsea was the better side when it comes to chances created on goal as they had more shot off and on target with the Reds unable to still find one shot on target as the game progressed further.

Liverpool soon gained control of the encounter and started to press harder while the away side kept soaking in all the pressure thrown at them by the home side who were desperate to get back into the game.

It progressed with Jurgen Klopp’s side still unable to make anything happen as the ball possession continued to favor the home side who continued to press more and more against Thomas Tuchel’s side who kept defending for their life.

The referee signaled for full time as the match ended with 0-1 as the Blues claimed a crucial win which pushed them above West Ham United and Everton to move into the fourth spot on the Premier League table.
