Jay Rodriguez second half goal helped Burnley played out a 1-1 draw against league Champions Liverpool who took the lead through Andrew Robertson.
Liverpool was able to hit one goal past a strong Burnley side in the first 45 minutes of the game.
It was just like another half which Jurgen Klopp’s side finds it hard to take control since the restart of the league season.
Erik Pieters almost made things happen for Burnley when he chipped in a pass but Allison Becker reacted quickly to save the ball.
Mohamed Salah alongside Firmino got back to back the opportunity to give Liverpool the lead but they couldn’t convert.
Andrew Robertson finally got the goal through an assist from Fabinho who chipped in a lovely pass inside the penalty area.
It ended first half Liverpool 1-0 Burnley as the Reds heads for the break with the advantage.
The second 45 minutes started slowly like the first but as it went on, Liverpool got control of the game.
Curtis Jones almost got a goal when played a nice 1-2 with Roberto Firmino but the youngster failed to score.
Jay Rodriguez put Burnley back in the game as he scored 1-1 in the 69th minute which saw the game took a new turn.
Many chances went begging with Liverpool unable to convert as the match ended 1-1 against Burnley.
