Hakim Ziyech and Marcos Alonso both scored as Chelsea came from one goal down to beat Man City 2-1 which ensured they move into 3rd on the League table.
First Half Report Man City 1-0 Chelsea
It was an amazing first half encounter that saw both sides giving a decent account of themselves as the home side managed to get one past their opponent who was also good.
Chelsea had things under control in making sure they don’t concede despite being pressured so much by their opponent who tested Edouard Mendy with an attempt on goal which he saved.
The game progressed with more opportunities coming to both sides until Man City scored the opener in the 44th minute through Raheem Sterling to make it 1-0 after a good teamwork effort saw the home side taking the lead.
Immediately the Citizens were awarded a penalty which Sergio Aguero stepped up to take but was saved by Edouard Mendy who easily guessed well and save the penaka attempt by the Argentine.
The first half of the encounter ended with Man City 1-0 Chelsea as they both headed for the break with an advantage over to the home side who were exceptional going forward.
Second Half Report Man City 0-2 Chelsea
The second half was an entirely different ball game which we saw the London side showing what they are made of by ensuring they gave the home side a run for their money.
Man City was in total dominance as the game went on with them on the lead as the visitors think they pulled back level when Timo Werner scored only for it to be ruled out as offside in the 50th minute of the game.
Chelsea finally was able to get the leveler in the 63rd minute which came after they pressured their opponent before Hakim Ziyech scored to make it 1-1 not after a good team work efforts which Azpilicueta provided the assistance.
Timo Werner once again scored another goal which was chopped off and immediately Callum Hudson-Odoi scored but also ruled out by VAR after some minutes of consultation.
Finally it counted when Marcos Alonso scored in the 90+ minutes which was after a good buildup play which made it 2-0 thanks to Timo Werner who ensured he provided the sweet assist.
The game came to an end with Man City 1-2 Chelsea as the Blues claimed a crucial three points which sees them overtake Leicester City to go 3rd on the Premier League table.
