Anthony Martial and Bruno Fernandes both scored as Manchester United beat strong headed Aston Villa side at Old Trafford 2-1 which sees them go level on points with League leader Liverpool in the English Premier League.

First Half Report Manchester United 1-0 Aston Villa:

The first half was closely matched with the two teams doing very good except for a moment of brilliance which saw the home side score one goal from a brilliant team efforts.

Aston Villa had things under control in the early stages of the game as they shutdown their opponent from gaining access past their defense in the game despite having to deal with many threats.


Manchester United was able to break free and score in the 40th after a great buildup play saw Aaron Wan-Bissaka providing the assist which Anthony Martial converted to make it 1-0 as the game progressed.

The first half ended with 1-0 as they both headed for the break with an advantage to the Red Devils who were extra brilliant throughout the first 45 minutes encounter.

Second Half Report Manchester United 1-1 Aston Villa:

The second half kicked off with the same pace just like the first 45 minutes of the game as the away side looked better in the early minutes going forward with many chances.

Aston Villa pulled level 1-1 in the 58th minute thanks to great teamwork efforts which Jack Grealish was able to pick out Bertrand Traore who finished off smoothly to give his side a share of the goals in the match.

Manchester United took the lead immediately in the 61st minute’s thanks to Bruno Fernandes who stepped up to convert and make it 2-1 from the penalty spot after a controversial verdict by VAR to award the foul.

The match progressed without any goals coming from both sides as we witnessed good attacking display of football with so many opportunities to get more goals from the home side.

The match ended with 2-1 as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side claimed all three points to level with League leader Liverpool on 33 points each with both sides having one game each left to play.
