Chelsea have officially named Mateo Kovacic and Bethany England as their male and female player of the season for 2019/2020.
Kovacic impressive 47 appearances helped Chelsea finish fourth on the Premier League for the jus concluded season.
While Bethany England’s impressive goal scoring record helped the women team win the League.
It was a fair season for both the male and female team as they both did well in the last season.
Other players like Billy Gilmour won the Academy player of the season after his breakthrough to the first team.
Fikayo Tomori’s stunning strike against Wolverhampton Wanderers won the goal of the season.
The award was held today virtually due to the coronavirus pandemic in which the players were announced winners.
Awards will be handed out later individually at the Cobham training center for the Club.
Chelsea player of the season indeed gave us the surprise package as Kovacic won the award.
All the players gave an impressive display which saw Caser Azpilicueta also playing almost every game.
