Ogun State Records 31 Dead & 160 Sustained Injury From Road Accident
The Ogun State Traffic Compliance and enforcement (TRACE) Corps aforesaid a total of thirty one persons died between Dec fifteen, 2019, and Jan fifteen, 2020, across Ogun State, being the festive period.
DAILY POST reports that a hundred and sixty persons sustained injuries within the numerous crashes.
TRACE aforesaid it recorded a complete of eighty road crashes among the amount, involving eleven non-public cars, ten non-public buses, thirteen business buses, fifteen business cars, six motorcycles, one wheeled vehicle, twelve medium trucks, eleven significant trucks, and thirteen different vehicles.
According to an announcement signed by TRACE spokesperson, Babatunde Akinbiyi, on Friday,
Akinbiyi aforesaid 41.93% of the road crashes were caused by excessive speed, 23.78% by dangerous driving, 10.99% by unhealthy tires, 3.33% by driving against traffic and nineteen.97% by different causes.
He further that eighty eight motor vehicles and thirty-nine motorcycles were understood for 163 offenses.
