Roma have been struggling under their current manager Paulo Fonseca who have been unable to make things happen despite taking them to the semi final of the Europa League.
They currently trail by a 6-2 defeat at Old Trafford against Manchester United with them heading into the return leg which won’t be an easy task for them to overturn and progressed.
It comes as no shock despite Jose Mourinho’s poor results and sacking over the last two jobs he was hired at Manchester United and Tottenham which he has managed just one Europa League trophy.
Roma will be hoping Jose Mourinho can bring back glory days when he resumes fully next season as they will be looking to rearrange the team and move forward to making things happen.
The Portuguese has managed Inter Milan which he won the Serie A trophy alongside guiding them to win the UEFA Champions League that same season were him and his team were unstoppable before making his move.
He has gone on to make a name for himself as the manager who win trophies wherever he goes but his last job with Tottenham didn’t result in any trophies but he reach the Carabao Cup final.
Spurs had to sack him before the final against Manchester City which they lost 1-0 with a late finish from Laporte as Pep Guardiola’s side retained the trophy they won last season.
