Chelsea’s Technical advisor Petr Cech has come out to back the current manager to deliver UEFA Champions League glory for the club after their draw against Porto in the quarter final.
The goalkeeper is positive that Thomas Tuchel’s experience will help them move closer and probably win the UEFA Champions League after beating Atletico Madrid.
Chelsea was drawn against Fc Porto in the Quarter final and Petrarch believes he can deliver as the Blues hope to beat the Portuguese side who knocked out Cristiano Ronaldo’s Juventus out.
If they progressed they might be going up against Liverpool or Real Madrid in the next round and from the looks of it they also stand every chance of lifting the trophy this season.
Last time Chelsea won the UEFA Champions League was back in 2012 which they beat Bayern Munich in the final after a penalty shootout which Petr Cech was very instrumental.
The goalkeeper had some good saves which handed his side the trophy for the first time ever during the era of Frank Lampard and John Terry who are both into coaching.

“As a club, we have the history of being in the Champions League and European Cups, there are still a lot of players in our squad who went through it, who won the European Cup and they will help as well,” Cech told Chelsea TV.
“The experience of the manager going through European ties all the way to the final is something that might add and help everybody.
“We obviously hope he will take advantage of our draw and they will progress and we’ll at least get into the further stages of the competition.
“Once you’re in the competition you always want to try and win it.”
